We wanted our clients and friends to learn more about our colleague, Lori Schattner, who joined Agili in 2023, so we asked her the questions below. As a Client Services Associate, Lori is responsible for providing quality and efficient customer service to clients — establishing accounts, initiating deposits and withdrawals, obtaining required documents, and ensuring current online access. She also helps clients with cash and securities transactions. In addition, she responds to information requests from clients, attorneys, and accountants.

Educational background: Bachelor of Arts, West Liberty University
Describe your family: LA FAMILIA: Family is everything to me! I grew up in a small town in West Virginia, just outside of Pittsburgh, PA. I come from an Italian Catholic family of five and I’m the youngest of three with two older brothers…yes, the baby girl! I followed my youngest brother and moved to Richmond in 1992. My parents and oldest brother still live in West Virgina. I’m the proud mother of two sons who are both the lights of my life. I’m thankful that my oldest son lives in Richmond and the other close by in Arlington. My brother and his family also still live in Richmond, and we all get together often. Any time with family makes me happy! To this day, I still miss living back north with my immediate and extended family. There is just something about those Sunday family dinners!
What motivates you? A bright and sunny day and helping others.
What are your hobbies/charities/sports (active or fan)? I love to take long walks and enjoy playing tennis and pickleball. I love to watch football…GO STEELERS!
What is your favorite childhood memory? Sunday dinners at my grandparents’ house – homemade spaghetti, fried chicken, and coconut cream pie…YUM!
What is your favorite vacation spot? Any beach works for me. We take an annual trip every July to the Outer Banks, NC.
Are you a cat or dog person? Neither ☹
What is your favorite book? I don’t have a favorite, but love anything with suspense or mystery.
What is your favorite movie? Not sure I can pick just one: Any Marvel movie, Star Wars or Rocky.
What is your favorite food or type of food? Italian – DiCarlo’s Pizza back home
