Educational background: BS in Applied Economic Management from Virginia Tech, with a minor in Entrepreneurship – New Venture Growth. I also completed the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Certification Education track during my time at VT.
What motivates you? Understanding. Regardless of the setting I’m in or the usefulness of the topic at hand, I enjoy understanding how and why things happen.
What are your hobbies/charities/sports (active or fan)? Music was a big part of my life growing up, so I continue to play guitar and drums as much as I can. I was born a fan of the Virginia Tech Hokies and continue to watch any sport we’re playing like it’s a life or death situation. I’m a big fan of the Green Bay Packers and even helped pay for some of Lambeau Field’s renovations by becoming a Packers shareholder in 2011.
What is your favorite childhood memory? Coming home from the kennel after picking up my childhood dog, Zellie, for the first time.
What is your favorite vacation spot? Ocean Isle Beach, NC. My parents have been going to OIB since well before I was born, so I’m glad they decided to continue the tradition and bring me along.
Are you a cat or dog person? Definitely a dog person.
What is your most memorable or favorite movie? The Big Lebowski. I love a rug that really ties the room together.
What is your favorite food or type of food? Unfortunately, my favorite type of food seems to be “anything I can’t make myself.” I moved to Richmond in September 2017 and have enjoyed finding new restaurants with great food that I’ll never be able to replicate.
